WHAT HAVE PAST ATTENDEES SAID ABOUT THE EVENT?

Attending this event for the first time I really appreciated the great opportunity it afforded us to meet together and share ideas regarding the recovery and goals of our industry. It was an honour to be involved in any capacity and to contribute to the overall success of such a well-organized event.

Marco Verga, HR Director, Bologna Airport

During the pandemic, we realized the importance of live communication. Lots of relevant and well-chosen topics, so it was really interesting to discuss them in-person.

Marius Gelžinis, Chief Executive Officer, SE Lithuanian Airports

After the darkness… we met in Palermo. This RACE was brilliant, for many reasons. The exquisite hospitality of our hosts, the careful organization, the breath-taking sites, and, above all, for the inspiring learnings from all the speakers and other colleagues of our industry. Together with all the lessons and notes I took, I kept the feeling that all challenges and uncertainties ahead of us are not stronger than our determination.

Carlos San Martín, Managing Director, Asturias Airport

For a small airport like Perugia these events are important, useful and necessary. You can learn a lot and have interesting exchange of visions and ideas with other colleagues.

Umberto Solimeno, Managing Director, International Airport Umbria Perugia

ACI conference in Naples was a great opportunity to discuss with high level professionals and exchange on specific topics which appear as big challenges for the future. Airport management at the 21st century needs great skills and appropriate strategy, this was the perfect place to discuss in transparency and in a friendly atmosphere.

Pierre Fernemont, Marketing and Development Manager, Lille Airport

It was a great event, packed with so much knowledge and great speakers. It was also an immense opportunity to source from a fruitful knowledge sharing among top industry peers. In the course of the event key aviation issues were tackled with an assessment of its possible impact on regional airports business. This conference is a must for all senior professionals engaged in airport management.

Paweł Galiak, Director of Aviation and Commercial Services, Kraków Airport

ACI Europe’s regional airports’ conference & exhibition allows smaller airports to get updates on news, trends and best practices in the airport community in a compact format with the opportunity to connect with peers and industry leaders. The exhibition has only selected suppliers, avoiding long days in exhibition halls, looking for the best offers.

Giovanni Russo, Director Operations, Geneva Airport

I just had a debrief meeting with our team that attended the RACE Palermo event earlier this week. They had nothing but positive feedback about the organization, the venue, and the audience. Thank you for organizing this great event!

Geert Vanmeerbeek, Marketing Communications Manager (International), BLACK BOX

This was our first opportunity to attend an ACI Regional Conference, and it really surpassed expectations.  The magnificent surroundings and broad range of delegates from Airports and other   ACI World Business Partners ensured that presentations and panels discussions were fresh and insightful.  Having had two years of only virtual meetings it was a great chance for ideas to be exchanged, contacts made and friendships renewed. This was our first time attending but it won’t be our last!

Declan Austin, Senior Solutions Manager, Materna IPS

Firstly, it was a pleasure to be in a face-to-face event, in the magnificent places that our host, Palermo Airport, welcome us. The subjects, the panelists and the presentations were very interesting showing us the impact of the crisis, the path for the recovery, and the challenges to face in terms of traffic, sustainable development, and people management and recruitment. Airports have now to find the best way to combine traffic development, sustainable development, acceptability for people and profitability. We also experienced an emotional and strong moment with the testimony of the Odessa Airport Representative. It was important, as airports and aviation, are first, a united community.

Sophy Fayaud, Director, Airports Development – France, Europe, Central Asia, Egis

A very well-arranged conference hosted by Krakow Airport. The choice of venue and an interesting and diversified program contributed strongly to a positive environment for networking and fruitful talks

Roger Estefors, Spokesperson, AER

The Regional Airports conference was an excellent opportunity to engage with the regional airport community and get a better understanding of their specific business priorities and challenges. It also gave us and our members a chance to present some of the SESAR Solutions that can help regional airports to better handle seasonal capacity issues and open the doors to new economic models.

Peter Hotham, Deputy Executive Director, SESAR joint undertaking
